No. 3 Turnpike School is built.

It is located at 3326 Washington Street. The wood-frame building serves as the first primary school in the Washington Street / Green Street area of the new Town of West Roxbury and closes in 1892. It is converted to a two-family house until 1958 and then into commercial use.
